UKPO Operator of the Year – Finals 9 October 2021
Takeuchi UK were pleased to be a major Sponsor at the 2021 UKPO – Operator of the Year.
The finals held on Saturday 9th October provided a fantastic platform for plant machine operators from across the UK to show off their excavating skills.
The worthy winner on the day was Dave Vickers of Vickers Plant Services. He demonstrated first class skills, safety and enthusiasm for the excavator challenges on the day. Narrowed down to five finalists Dave won in the final tense Dig-Off.
The winner Dave Vickers is well known to team Takeuchi, a long time and loyal customer of dealer Parkway Plant, with a fleet of Takeuchi minis in his plant hire fleet. We would like to congratulate Dave on a brilliant performance and being a great champion for the Takeuchi brand.
Dave Vickers commented, “The operator challenge was a tough day, performing in front of the crowds. I really enjoyed every minute. The M O’Brien Sandstone Quarry in Leighton Buzzard was the scenic venue for the event. The team at O’Brien’s alongside the publishers UK Plant Operators put together an outstanding enjoyable day for the industry. Throughout the year contestants have engaged with the competition and submitted videos of machine operating with the finalists voted for by UKPO readers.
