Takeuchi at Scotplant 2022.
Takeuchi UK once again attended the Scotplant show at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh.
What a great few days it turned out to be with a really busy stand and the weather holding out!
Takeuchi displayed some new products including 3-Series machines – TB370 and TB325R alongside 10 other models.
Highlight of the stand was the Takeuchi Time Challenge hosted by UK Plant Operator of the Year Dave Vickers. Visitors to the show had to challenge Dave’s time to stack a series of tyres. Over 200 visitors took part, qualified operators as well as novices. The youngsters were quite keen to have a go under the expertise of Dave.
The TB210R was the perfect machine for the job with a compact size to easily suit everyone having a go and its nimble performance made light work of the tyre stacking. Operators loved the smooth hydraulics and micro muscle delivered by the smallest Takeuchi mini excavator.
Marketing Manager, Holly Cooke talked about Scotplant and the #TakeuchiTime challenge – “The Scottish market is vital to Takeuchi, we always embrace the chance to catch up with customers and our network of Scottish dealers, especially after the constraints of the past two years. As for the game – I knew it would be good but I didn’t realise it would be that good! The crowds gathered, everybody wanted to get involved. Dave completely blew the crowds away with his skills, expertise and comical tyre catchphrases”
Prizes were handed out for those scoring times under one minute.
The winning times were awarded to:
Day 1 – Danny Clare 47.43
Day 2 – Keirran McCormick 43.87 (RECORD TIME!)
Close to winning on day 2 with very strong times were
James Herring 46.30
Lucy Robertson 48.33
