The CITB National Construction College have recently added the first of many Takeuchi machines to the apprentice training fleet at Bircham Newton in Norfolk.
Takeuchi is an excavator brand the CITB were keen to get in the training fleet, given the growing popularity across the construction sector. The first arrival is a brand new 15-tonne TB2150R excavator, providing the UK’s latest plant apprentices with all important familiarity on the very latest industry kit.
Mervyn Lambert, the new Takeuchi dealer in East Anglia, worked very closely with the CITB team to coordinate the partnership.
Peter West Sales Director at Mervyn Lambert Plant
“It’s a great honour for us to supply these top-quality machines to CITB, I am sure the apprentices will certainly benefit from learning on such a great machine!”
Christopher Blake Plant Curriculum Manager:
‘Through our CITB procurement process Mervyn Lambert Plant provide all our hired in plant equipment. Receiving this new Takeuchi excavator will increase our machine variation thus providing a range of manufacturer machines for all trainees both Apprentice and Commercial to benefit.
We cannot thank Peter and the whole MLP team enough for their continued support to NCC.”
Takeuchi recognise the importance of CITB National Training College in delivering the future plant and service engineers that are crucial to our industry and were happy to help support the programme.
The CITB venue will be hosting the 2023 UK Plant Operator’s Finals on September 30th and Takeuchi are a proud Sponsor of the Mini Excavator category. Contestants include some of the most skilled construction plant operators who will be put through a variety of machine challenges. With big prizes to win the competition is set for an even bigger event at CITB and for keen operators it is not too late to enter.
