Twenty-Five Years Staff Milestone
One Takeuchi UK member of staff has recently celebrated her 25-year milestone with the company.
Tracy Williams joined Takeuchi in the very early years as a young 18 year old office junior and has been with the company ever since, and progressing to a senior role of Financial Manager.
Takeuchi in 1998 was only in its second year in the UK. The small team in Rochdale helped set the company on its way. Over the years Tracy has trained and progressed, to become the company’s fully qualified accountant and current Financial Controller.

Culturally Tracy has loved the experience of getting to know and understand the Japanese culture and business approach. She got the opportunity to visit Japan on two occasions and appreciates the unique style of Japanese international businesses – a global firm who think global and act local.
Tracy didn’t mean for her first job to be so permanent, thinking she was just taking a year break from going to university. She took the temporary position moving to Rochdale from her home in Kent, having fallen for a Lancashire chap. Takeuchi and the North became Tracy’s new family and she never left. Two daughters came next, and Tracy cherished the forward thinking approach as a working mum the company had with flexible working, way before the current trend.
“Takeuchi were always very supportive, offering flexible part-time return after maternity leave and continued development in my senior company position. Whereas for many women entire career breaks have to happen when having children which can set them back years in career progression.”
Tracy now manages a team of five in both Finance and Sales Administration along with responsibility for Human Resources for the whole company.
Over her twenty-five years Tracy has enjoyed working for a forward-thinking expanding company that she has seen grow and develop. Takeuchi’s staff head count is now at twenty-six, with many reaching major years of service milestones. These long service records are a testament to just how good a company Takeuchi is to work for.
